Team

The Healing Farm is volunteer-led. Our team brings experience from many different fields, but within Healing Farm programs team members work as facilitators, instructors, activity leaders and advisors rather than as medical or psychological practitioners.

Sylvie Schapira

Founder and Program Lead

Sylvie has many years of experience in psychotherapy, training, education and community programs. Her work has included designing and leading personal development courses, training programs and residential projects.

At The Healing Farm, Sylvie leads the development of the program and will act as a facilitator. Her experience in group work, program design and safeguarding helps shape the structure and boundaries of the program.

Daniel Schapira

Founder and Administration Lead

Daniel is a retired UK medical doctor with additional experience in technology, medical informatics and project development.

His role at The Healing Farm is administrative. He has led the development of the organization's administrative, technical and digital infrastructure and supports its planning and development.

Mark Drucker

Advisor

Mark brings experience from military service, business management and psychology. He advises The Healing Farm on organizational development and the development of the program.

Mark Silverman

Program Content Advisor

Mark is a medical doctor and trauma-informed psychotherapist. He advises The Healing Farm on exercises for the program. He will not be involved in delivering the program or working with participants.

Nachum Friedman

Nature and Activity Advisor

Nachum has decades of experience in education, art and horticulture. He advises on horticulture, creative activities and practical ways of incorporating nature and outdoor activity into Healing Farm programs. He will be leading some sessions in the program.

Capt. Paul Hecht IDF

Military Advisor

Paul contributes his experience and perspective from service in the IDF.

Chana Biatus

Founder and Events Lead

Chana is a professional violinist and educator. She led the organization of our first fundraising concert in June 2026, which raised funds to support the pilot program and the development of The Healing Farm.

Additional Support

The Healing Farm was established by seven founders and is supported by a growing group of volunteers who contribute a wide range of practical, creative and organizational skills.
